The overall look of the Coleman garden gazebo is similar to Victorian elegance due mainly to the off white color and the raised cupola on the roof of the structure. The color is a bit prone to dirt and other accumulations but it can be easily cleaned by following the manufacturer's instructions. Canvas top collects water around the edges and corners which puts to much wait on velcro straps and makes them come undone and canvas top starts to fall off when that happens. Very awkward to put together took 3 grown men to put gazebo together. Just all around cheap product that requires maintenance when it rains.

ReviewsWe bought this item to set up in the back yard for year-round use in South Florida. It was definitely NOT designed for that! Although attractive, roomy and comfortable, it gave out in less than a year with consistent exposure to the Florida elements. Because it is called a 'gazebo' and because we have always used Coleman camping gear, we expected it to hold up much better. After several months outdoors, the entire canopy began to simply SHREAD - the material just disintegrated. Perhaps if your intention is to use this as a temporary shelter for picnics or other short term events, this would be a good fit for you - it actually is quite lovely. If you want heavy duty service, keep looking. My daughter and i loved our gazebo home at our first trip to Burning Man in Nevada's Black Rock desert. We were wanting to economize space in our car...to have a sleeping place and shade during the hot part of the day. we did cover a couple of the screens with sarongs to shade from the sides during the hottest part of the day. pretty easy to put up....and with it properly staked down, the gazebo fared beautifully through a couple of significant dust storms. While some of the surrounding tents and shade structures were collapsing in the wind, our gazebo was the wonder of our neighborhood. Everyone watched in amazement as our little home held up. The screens were surprisingly effective in keeping the dust out. I'm very happy with our investment. Next year i think we'll have both a tent to sleep at night and the gazebo as our kitchen/daytime lounge area. This was the best purchase ever. My mom turned 93 years young in July and she can not tolerate direct sunlight. In the past We had purchased shade coverings for the back yard so she could come outside and enjoy her party, but these coverings always fell short. The Coleman Gazebo is FANTASTIC! It was easy to put up with several hands,(don't recommend this as a solo project) The instructions are sewn onto the carrying case so they will never get lost. The fabric is tent-like, strong and sturdy, we can use this year after year.It is light weight easy to move from spot to spot. I would recommend this product with flying colors. Absolutely nothing negative. Jan Very nice product -- well made, easy assembly, nicely packaged. Only problem is birds can get trapped inside it -- they must get in at bottoms of zippered doors, or under the side panels, and cant get out. Otherwise it is a great gazebo and we are very happy with it so far. Coleman has discontinued this,so we were happy to find it on Amazon.com! It is really good price and has made a great outdoor room for our family! Living in NW it rains often and this has been great gazebo, the rain collects if you have not assembled it correctly(you have to place the bottom buckle hooks into the holes located at the bottom of each pole.)We learned from that mistake after the first rain. This is year round fun for us, we have game time with kids and friends and nice to sit outdoors and have no bugs and protection from rain. So relaxing to sit out on rainy day and smell the fresh NW air and read a good book with nice cup of hot cocoa : )

We go camping and it is large enough to put a picnic table in as well as chairs and coolers. The zippers are good quality and don't feel like they are going to break anytime soon. There are also stake loops at the doors so when you stake it in the ground you are able to open the zipper with one hand. The material is a good quality and when it rained the water didn't leak through. We did treat it with a water proofing tent spray before we went camping. I'm sure that helped. The only bad thing I can think of if that there are quite a few pieces. The storage bag is large enough though. You can haphazardly toss everything into the bag and it all fits with ease. I recommend this screen room to anyone for all kinds of uses! I bought this item to use at the beach, it payed for itself the first weekend. We had shade during the day and were able to get away from the nightly Mosquitos. It's large enough to accomodate the six people plus visitors and still had room in it to cook. I was amazed and very pleased. Putting it together was easy my daughter in law and I put it up in 15 minutes. Best investment for me in awhile. Nice screenhouse, went up in 10 minutes with just hubby & me. We are senior citizens & appreciate the ease at how simple it was. Everything clearly marked & nothing missing out of the box which is a problem we have encountered in the past with other companies & items. Have always sworn by Coleman products though, that's why I picked this one. My only beef, and it's a small one, the entrance is low even with the zipper wide open (because it opens to an inverted V shape). We are both tall people, he is 6'4", I am 5'8" so we have to duck a bit to go inside. But the sides & center are high enough inside so the entrance is a minor thing. Otherwise I highly recommend this screenhouse. And it did stand up to a nasty, windy thunderstorm we had last week that took out one of our table unbrellas, (snapped one of the square metal spokes). Screenhouse-one, umbrella-zip. I think the picture is misleading. The picture makes it appear that the tent comes with white sides also. It does not. However, the biggest problem I had with the tent is that it was very difficult to set up. It took three experienced tent campers to put this tent together. It also "hiked up" at the bottom allowing insects inside. I would not buy this product again. This is amazing! We shopped for almost a year before purchasing this product! Nothing else that we have found holds a candle. It's sturdy, easy to setup, and great looking! So much better than any other canopy we have purchased! We have come to the conclusion to spend a little more to get a great product! That and it's really not that pricy for the quality of the product you get. And we can take it camping! |
