Merits Of A Metal Garden Gazebo
There are several different kinds of metal garden gazebo designs. Some of these metal
garden gazebos are portable or temporary ones while others are made with wrought iron and can e considered as
permanent fixtures of the garden. There are plenty of benefits of getting a metal garden gazebo instead of the
stone/cement or wooden gazebos. In spite of these benefits, there are also some pitfalls of the metal garden
gazebo.
Benefits
One major benefit of a metal garden gazebo is the lightness and portability that one gives its owners. This is
true to most metal garden gazebos that are in the portable gazebo variety. These features (the portability and
lightness) give the owner the ability to move the metal garden gazebo around the garden to be able to accommodate
various purposes and functions. Being able to move the gazebo around is especially useful when you use it on the
lawn. Moving the gazebo prevents the grass underneath it from permanently dying or fading.
Another benefit or advantage of having a metal garden gazebo of the portable gazebo variety is the ease and
comfort of being able to put up and take down the structure in a short time. Some of these gazebos are not
complicated to put up at all and the owner may not need a step by step manual for this although sometimes it does
come in handy. Most metal garden gazebos also have either tarpaulin roofing or polyester. The tarp roofing is
better at sheltering from rain, sun and snow while the polyester is thinner and only protects from the sun and a
light drizzle. The advantage of the polyester is that it is cheaper than the tarp and basically lighter. The
lighter material is easier to put up compare dot the heavier tarpaulin.
Wrought iron, permanent metal garden gazebos are also advantageous to have for decorative
purposes. The wrought iron usually works well with large gardens and designs which bring out the beauty of wrought
iron. Although, iron is heavier, the fact that these kinds of gazebos are permanent makes it a moot point. If rust
occurs, the owner can actually paint it with rust proofing treatment or have the rusted part replaced.
Disadvantages
There are several disadvantages to having a metal garden gazebo. These include the maintenance work that goes
with it to prevent or treat rust. Those gazebos made from wrought iron are more prone to this while the lighter
portable gazebos are not as sturdy as we would like them to be. These are usually prone to the metal legs
collapsing under strain or the structure itself flipping due to string winds.
